Connection Day 2026: Bringing the CIDP Community Together

Event Overview

Our first CIDP Connection Day was an important milestone, bringing people living with CIDP, carers, families and health professionals together in Melbourne and online.
The day was about connection, practical support and learning more about CIDP from people with both professional expertise and lived experience.
A huge thank you to our guest speakers Dr Nicholas Crump, Dr Mahima Kapoor, Mark Grant, Paul Sprague, Dana Brackley and Natalie Hamam for sharing their knowledge across neurology, mental health, orthotics, physiotherapy and occupational therapy.
A special thank you to Barry “Baz” Du Bois, mental health advocate, who hosted the day and shared his own lived experience, helping us explore how to navigate adversity with honesty, courage and compassion.
Klim Foundation co-founders Michael Klim and Michelle Owen also shared their personal perspectives — Michael on living with CIDP and Michelle on the experience of being a partner and carer. Together, they spoke about why connection, understanding and community are so important for people affected by CIDP.
Thank you to everyone who attended, joined us online and helped make our first Connection Day possible.
This was just the beginning, and we look forward to continuing to bring the CIDP community together.
